Outliners has been an experimental exhibition that created a laboratory situation on creativ activity of curating.
Exhibition: six invited curators have chosen
artworks from artist portfolios archive of berlinerpool, based on which
they devised a concept for the exhibition space. The chosen works are
not shown in original, but are marked as outlines on the walls and on
the ground of the exhibiton space. Each curator is using another colour,
so that a spacious, multilayered drawing, covering walls and floor, is
the result:
an exhibition as a piece of art, while exchanging roles of artist and
curator.
The curators´ concepts, along with floor plans and artists´ lists, could be studied on the spot. Images of the artworks are contained in the archive, which has been on show, too. By the way the exhibition visitors were able to construct the exhibions in their imagination.
